Welcome Adirondack Explorer magazine January-February 2021 Issue

It’s officially 2021. It feels good to say that, doesn’t it? After a difficult year unimagined by anyone, punctuated by a deadly pandemic, social unrest, severe storms and wildfires, we’re happy for this fresh start.
This New Year brings hope in so many ways. For us at the Explorer it means continuing our reporting momentum on the issues important to the Adirondack Park and its communities, and, with the promise of a vaccine, getting back to a series we’d planned looking at what regions outside of the park and state are doing to address challenges similar to the ones we face here.
None of this would be possible without you, Explorer readers and supporters. During 2020, throughout months when our printer tells us other magazine clients had to stop printing on paper and go digital, we were able to continue giving you both a print magazine and rigorous online coverage. Thank you for that opportunity.
The Explorer staff and I are profoundly grateful for your unwavering support of the work we do to tell the unique story of the Adirondacks and encourage its ongoing protection.
We look forward to another year with you.
With gratitude,

Tracy Ormsbee, Publisher
