This is not going to be my usual welcome page to readers because these are not usual times. I know that this issue will come through the letterbox of thousands of households that have had to self-isolate, and I hope it provides some distraction from the worries and disruption that we are all facing.
Regular readers may notice that we have extended our News section, and removed our What’s On page. My heart goes out to everyone who has spent many months planning and preparing family history events that will now no longer run. You can read more about the disruption to family historians caused by the coronavirus pandemic on page 9.
I just want you all to know that we will be here for you throughout these extraordinary times. We are all working from home so please don’t phone our office, but keep sending us emails and we will try our hardest to respond to them all.
