WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER 2022 ISSUE OF MODEL BOATS Magazine …

When you work in publishing it’s so easy to get ahead of yourself. For example, while it in reality it may only be February, as far as I’m concerned March is nowdone and dusted (as cover/ magazine issues dates are always just that little bit ahead of real time) and we’re about to move into April. I keep, therefore, hopefully looking for signs of spring – a dangerous assumption as we’re just as likely to be knee deep in snow by the time this issue pops through your letterbox/ hits the newsstands. Who knows? After all, over the past decade or so, Mother Nature seems to be as confused as I am as to where we’re at on the calendar! Anyway, with glass half full, can I just send out a gentle nudge to the relevant club members and event organisers amongst you to please send in details of any shows, open days, etc, planned for the (hopefully) warmer months ahead so that we can flag them up in good time.
May I also remind you that, as Model Boats is such a specialist title, when it comes to being able to bring you a diverse selection of feature length articles we rely heavily on those in the community we serve to submit fresh, new material for publication. So, if you have any great ideas for articles you’d like to see in the mag and/or feel you’re able to contribute content, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
