Welcome at MiniWorld Magazine April 2023 issue

I have driven all over Europe in Minis while travelling to and from International Mini Meetings and have taken part in the Italian Job three times. I love taking a road trip in a Mini and can’t wait formy next travel adventure which will be the Riviera Run in Cornwall at the end of April (see page 10 for a Riv Run update). See Roving Reporter Mark Chadwick’s latest Road Trip article on pages 78-844. He drove his Rover Mini Cooper, aka Popsie, to Brittany in France, and back, with a poorly Triumph TR4a companion. We’d love you to get in touch if you’d like to write-up a road trip that you have enjoyed in your Mini. Each one published wins a 13-issue subscription to your favourite magazine.
I hope you will love the feature Minis we bring you in this issue including a superb Cooper S with Arden 8-port head, a modified GT, a gleaming Mayfair show car and a custom Moke-alike which was hand-fabricated from sheet steel and a shipping container! Our clever readers never fail to amazeme. If you have a Mini that we should include in our pages then do drop us an email with a few photos.
The 2023 UK Mini show season officially began in January with Mini Fair at Bingley Hall. The turnout was very impressive with many stunning Minis on display (see pages 86-87). There were plenty of traders supporting the event, and the Mini scene in general, by having a trade stand. It’s
so easy to buy parts online now but nothing compares to seeing and touching items when buying them at a show. There’s a lot of hard work and expense involved in trading at an event so I think it’s important to support the traders as much as the show organisers. I am looking forward to doing so at future events as I pick up spares formy project Minis.
I hope you enjoy the issue.
