Hello and welcome to issue 78 of Guitar Interactive Magazine!

In most regards, the last year has easily been one to forget. However, in the world of guitar it’s once again been a impressive 12 months when it comes to new and innovative products and i for us guitarists. In this issue’s review section we take a look back at the very best of 20120 with reviews handpicked by expert reviewers Tom Quayle, Sam Bell, Nick Jennison and Gi magazine editor Jonathan Graham. We hope you enjoy our look back at Guitar Interactive Magazine’s best of 2020 and be sure to let us know if you agree with our choices, or if you feel we missed something out.
Of course, that’s not all, as Guitar Interactive Magazine catches up with Joe Bonamassa as he unveils his latest album ‘Royal Tea. As usual, Joe has some fantastic stories of rare guitar finds, recording at Abbey Road Studios, the intricacies of 1958-60 era Gibson Les Pauls and much more, including his thoughts on the recent passing and legacy of Eddie Van Halen.
With his new album ‘The Faintest Idea’ — out now via Kscope — the UK based acoustic guitar virtuoso may have just produced his most stunning work to date. Jonathan Graham chats with Jon Gomm about the new record and more in this exclusive Guitar Interactive feature. Also, Diamond Head’s Brian Tatler talks ‘Lightning To The Nations 2020’ and more, while Nick Jennison interviews 5-time GRAMMY awardwinning producer/engineer/mixer and musician Chris Lord-Alge.
As usual, with every issue, we have a brand-new Tech Session. In this edition, Jamie Humphries encourages you to don your spaceman suit and makeup as he takes a look at the guitar style of the legendary Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley, while Nick Jennison, Sam Bell and Giorgio Serci offer some more incredible lessons that we hope you will enjoy.
