Finally we can look out of our windows and see flowers! Not just those early snowdrops and aconites either but spring bulbs filling our plots with colour – is there a more joyous flower than the daffodil, bringing large swathes of yellow to our gardens after the drab months of winter?
Hot on its heels will come the tulips in all their different guises – and there are so many! As we reveal in our feature starting on page 14, there really is a variety to suit every taste – and while the bulbs go in the ground late in the year, you can still buy potted plants now that will add some pizzazz to your garden.
