One comment I get from everyone I talk to about BBC Wildlife Magazine is that the photography is breathtaking – and I couldn’t agree more. Every issue I find myself lost for hours in pictures of every kind of species and habitat from all over the world. But there’s always one photo that seems to make a bigger impression than the rest
This issue, it was one from our cover feature about the great success oriental pied hornbills are having in Singapore. It’s not a shot of this stunning bird, though, but of a street scene that shows the urban greenery for which the city has rightly been lauded. (Have a flick to p78 and you’ll see the one I mean.) Inspired by that photo, I’ve been looking at the cityscapes closer to home and thinking how wonderful it would be if we could just be a bit more like Singapore. Imagine…
