Hello! We hope you’re staying warm wherever you are. In Sydney it’s the coldest winter in 37 years. Brrr!
At least there’s lots of snow on the mountains for snowboarding, skiing, and making snow people. Our cover star is Valentino Guseli, who just qualified for the Winter Olympics! We also catch up with brave Lisa Blair to find out what it’s like to sail solo around icy Antarctica.
To break up the deep chill, we’re learning all about slime mould. It’s a seriously cool living being, and scientist Jules Smith-Ferguson tells us all about it – including that it remembers things! Weird and disturbing at the same time, right? Plus we have all the usual suspects, from endangered potoroos and adorable tawny frogmouths to the planet Venus, the lowdown on off-grid living, super -cool craft with recycled plastic bags, and an epic whales poster.
We love hearing from you too, so feel free to email any time.
