THE EDITOR SAYS

This month Magazine has been one of discovery and happy reunions. As the Covid-19 restrictions were relaxed somewhat, I managed to wave at several much-missed friends and neighbours in a pub garden, and in so doing, I discovered that, although I’ve only ever been an occasional lunchtime pub person, those occasions are sorely missed when they’re taken away. There’s a life lesson in there, somewhere, and it’s one many of us have been obliged to learn since our lives were turned upside down last year.
HELLO OLD FRIENDS
I’ve also been reunited with a couple of former friends from my shooting life, in the form of a Zeiss scope and a rifle from Rapid Air Weapons. As you’ll see in the reviews, these played what is popularly known as a ‘pivotal role’ in my shooting, and in the case of the rifle, in the development of air rifles in general.
The lessons my Zeiss taught me all those years ago, when my exploits on the field target circuit took me to places and people I ‘II never forget, proved fundamental to my approach to life itself – yes, really. Around the same time, I was introduced to the, then top secret, magazine system that would go on to change the world of sporting airguns, and whilst I knew I was privy to something special, I could never have appreciated just how ‘pivotal’ it
