MiniWorld Magazine May 2024
English | 100 pages | pdf | 56.07 MB

Most issues of MiniWorld Magazine tend not to have any specific theme, but we make no apologies for this month’s magazine featuring mostly modified cars. It wasn’t necessarily planned that way. But for anyone who likes their Minis very much non-standard, there’s plenty to keep you entertained in the pages ahead.
One of my own personal favourites is this issue’s front cover star – the Speedwell-influenced Austin Mini MkI Countryman of Dave Metcalfe. Not only does it really look the part, its 1293cc
Stage 4 tuned A-series means it’s quicker and more entertaining than just about any other classic estate. Then there’s Elliott Cook’s supercharged Mini Studio 2 that’s been re-engineered to such a high standard, Feng Xiangxu’s personalised Cooper 1071 S with its expensively bespoke interior, and a racing-spec Mini Moke that enjoys success on the racetracks of
Australia. Plus, of course, our technical expert, Tim Mundy, has more tips and advice in our Q&A section for anyone looking to improve their Mini.
With this issue hitting the newsstands and subscribers’ doormats in late March, this year’s show season is now upon us – and whether your Mini is standard or modified, you’re no doubt looking forward to getting behind the wheel and having some fun. This has felt like a particularly long winter here in the UK, so frankly we’re more than ready to get out there again!
Finally, don’t forget that the best way of ensuring MiniWorld value for money is to subscribe. You get the benefit of having each issue delivered direct to your door, and you save money at the same time. Head over to page 42 for the latest deals.
