MORE THAN 25 YEARS since they first rumbled onto an unsuspecting metal scene to change the face of heavy music forever, Korn seemingly remain as influential now as ever. Just listen to the second track from that recent Spiritbox album if you don’t believe me (and, if you want even more evidence, check out Dannii Leivers’ awesome nu metal feature on page 46).
They’ve survived all manner of challenges, setbacks and hurdles in their time, and with uncertainty surrounding the status of Fieldy still very much in the conversation, things certainly don’t seem to be smooth sailing right now (and on that note: much love to Fieldy – we hope to see you slinging that bass again soon).
All the more reason to celebrate the fact that Korn have come back swinging with another juicy selection of bouncy, neck-snapping anthems, then, sounding every bit as focused and determined as the band that emerged from Bakersfield all those years ago.
