According to the meteorological calendar, spring starts on 1 March. So, with this issue, we say hello to spring and goodbye to the long, grey and dull winter. To celebrate the first bloom of flowers around us and to welcome the first warm rays of sun shining on our faces, we have put together some inspiring spring topics. For instance, we take a look at some fresh colours, airy spring items and fun patterns in this month’s Fashion Finds, to give your closet a much-needed update. If you’re after something a bit more far afield, why not explore Hamburg’s famous ‘Fruhlingsdom’, a large spring fun fair held in central Hamburg. It has been a staple of the city for decades and writer Stuart Forster finds out for us why it’s well worth visiting.
With Omicron having cancelled many skiing holiday plans during the winter just gone, lots of holiday makers have been left disappointed and longing to get back to the slopes of their favourite resorts. In 2022, we suggest heading to one of the destinations that impress with snow-filled slopes even in summer, to get your skiing fix; find out more in our cover feature.
Other topics covered in our March issue are an interview with actress Peggy Lukac, Swiss event locations that need to be seen to be believed, culinary treats from Switzerland, coaching experts, top hotels from across the DACH region to get you inspired for your next holiday, language schools, as well as some of Germany’s and Austria’s finest wine producers. Last but not least, we take a look at an important field: innovative cleantech companies and their products who seek to create a better, more sustainable future for all of us.
