Architecture Magazine – February-March 2023
English | 65 pages | pdf | 9.65 MB

Event season is here, and there’s a plethora of exciting shows filling up the Architecture & Design Community calendar. From specialist surface design and workplace focused events to broader industry-wide editions like ARCHITECT@WORK, which is set to return to the Truman Brewery in London, right at the beating heart of the A&D community.
The theme running throughout many of the shows is one of connection; connecting with individuals and connecting with community – and it’s something that we focus on within this publication.
In our main interview feature we meet Katy Marks, Founder of socially driven architectural firm Citizens Design Bureau, who talks about the joy of collborative design and how she is driven by community and the love of architectural craft.
We explore the intersection of Architecture and Interior Design, asking a panel of interior designers what they have learned from their experiences working with architects on projects, and how both design professionals can best support each other.
Another theme we visit in this issue is that of lighting design; we take a look at some inspired lighting pieces, designed to elevate a space with their architectural forms, and Arianna Ghezzi, of Lighting Design International, discusses alternative ways to illuminate spaces to create interesting and intimate environments.
We also focus on glass and glazing with a look at some innovative products and magnificent builds that have utilised bespoke solutions, such as an intriguing residential glass house built by Studio Odile Decq for a client with sight loss challenges.
The Architecture Magazine February-March 2023 issue is packed with a variety of case studies and projects; from a London penthouse and a Texas family home to a £300M mixed-use regeneration build and a 26-storey office design – they all simply delight.
