In the run up to Grand Designs Live, which returns to ExCeL London from 29 April to 7 May, it’s time to tell you about some of the exciting features at the show (granddesignslive.com).
I’m delighted that the Grand Designs Magazine Theatre will once again be hosted by property expert and TV presenter Kunle Barker. Kevin McCloud, Kunle, Grand Designers and other special guests will appear on stage for wide-ranging talks and panel discussions – from a session on custom build featuring MP Richard Bacon and Mark Stevenson from the National Custom & Self Build Association (NaCSBA), to eco-friendly kitchen renovation with renowned designer Johnny Grey.
You’ll find energy-efficiency advice, along with information on sustainable self-build and retrofit, at Green Living Live (greenlivinglive.com), which runs alongside Grand Designs Live. Designer, author and TV presenter Max McMurdo is hosting the Sustainable Future Theatre, and bringing an electric modular camper van, created in collaboration with Ikea (ikea.com).
